Bobby Bates

Coach Bates has led the McQuaid Varsity Football program for 20 years, including the last 13 seasons as head coach. During his tenure, he has compiled a 100–30 career record, guided the Knights to five consecutive Section V Class AA championships, a Western Regional title, and a State runner-up finish. A 10-time Conference/Class AA Coach of the Year, Bates also serves as McQuaid's Athletic Director after spending 19 years as a P.E. teacher. Outside of football and athletics, Coach Bates enjoys spending time with his family.
