About McQuaid Jesuit Athletics
McQuaid Jesuit is a Catholic, Jesuit, college-preparatory school that inspires young men to realize their God-given gifts through the pursuit of excellence in all things, service to others, and a lifelong commitment to justice. That mission guides our student-athletes in every practice, every game, and every season. Teachers challenge them with a rigorous academic curriculum, coaches push them toward athletic excellence, and administrators ensure first-rate facilities and resources. Most importantly, McQuaid student-athletes remain grounded in the school’s Jesuit of "Cura Personalis," or Care for the Whole Person.
McQuaid offers 19 individual sports and has 51 teams across all levels, with hundreds of students competing each year. Over 80% of our student body participates in athletics during their time at McQuaid, reflecting the belief that athletics is an extension of the formation happening in the classroom and a vital part of developing the whole person. Student-athletes are encouraged to reach their fullest potential, not only strengthening their athletic skills, but also learning teamwork, discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship.
The Knights compete against the top programs in Section V and beyond, representing the black and gold at the highest levels. Championships and accolades are part of McQuaid’s long tradition of athletic success, but the true measure of our program is found in the young men it forms. The product of McQuaid Jesuit athletics can be seen in the leaders that go forth carrying their lessons from the field into college, career, and life.
At McQuaid, athletics is more than competition, it is a path to growth, a lifelong brotherhood, and a connection to something greater than oneself.
Sincerely,
