About McQuaid Jesuit Athletics
McQuaid Jesuit is a Catholic, Jesuit, college-preparatory school committed to forming young men who recognize and develop their God-given gifts through the pursuit of excellence, service to others, and a lifelong dedication to justice. That mission is at the heart of our athletic program—shaping the way our student-athletes train, compete, and carry themselves each day.
In our program, academics, athletics, and personal formation work together. Our teachers challenge students in the classroom, our coaches demand their best on the field, and our administration is committed to providing the facilities and resources needed to support a first-class experience. Above all, our student-athletes are grounded in the Jesuit value of cura personalis—care for the whole person—which guides how we develop not just athletes, but young men of character.
McQuaid offers 19 sports and fields 51 teams across all levels, with more than 80% of our student body participating in athletics during their time here. That level of involvement reflects what we believe: athletics is an extension of the educational experience and an essential part of forming the whole person. Through sport, our students learn discipline, accountability, resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship—lessons that stay with them far beyond their playing days.
Our Knights compete against top programs in Section V and beyond, proudly representing the black and gold. While championships and accolades are a valued part of our tradition, they are not the ultimate goal. The true success of McQuaid Jesuit athletics is measured by the young men we develop—leaders who carry what they've learned here into college, their careers, and their communities.
At McQuaid, athletics is more than competition. It is an opportunity for growth, a bond of brotherhood, and a meaningful connection to something greater than oneself.
