The McQuaid Jesuit Modified teams continue to give it their all!

The Modified Cross Country team took first place at the 61st annual McQuaid Invitational last weekend! For many of the runners, this was their first time competing at the Invitational, and they surely made their mark. Congratulations to Jake Jones '31, who came in sixth place overall! The team will race again this Saturday, October 10.

Modified Football is still 1-1, with their last game resulting in a shutout against UPrep. The Knights look forward to playing again this week on October 7 against Andrew Langston.

The Modified Gold Soccer team is still 2-0, with wins against Aquinas and Harley-Allendale Columbia. With some extra practices under their belts, the squad is excited to play rival Aquinas this week on October 6. Modified Black is currently 4-1, with wins against Harley-Allendale Columbia, Marion/Gananda's Orange and Blue teams, and the Aquinas Lil' Irish. They'll look to improve on their record tonight against Bishop Kearney. Good luck, Knights!

The Crew team had their first race on Saturday, September 26, with many Modified rowers competing and several coming out to support. The U17 8+ boat was made up of several first-year Varsity and returning Modified rowers and ended up placing third! Coach Jon Covney '06 shared that the rowers "felt as though they had a good first race against two tough boats from Pittsford and Fairport. With the first race under their belt and now having a little more idea of how to get faster, they're excited." The team's next race is Sunday, October 11, at Genesee Valley Boat House.

Modified Volleyball continues to improve and grow as a team. They have two matchups this week against Penfield on Wednesday and Andrew Langston on Thursday. Please join us in wishing them good luck!

We're excited to see our student-athletes grow on and off the field of play. Go Knights!
