This past weekend, McQuaid Jesuit's Crew Junior 8 captured a bronze medal at the State Championships, earning the program its first bid to the National Championships since 2015. The Knights will now travel to Oak Ridge later this month to compete against the top crew teams in the country.

The historic boat was made up of Peter Jackle, '28, Jonathan Piehler, '28, Paddy Flaherty, '28, Ryan Schiralli, '29, Soren Eschenfelder, '28, Ben Galambos, '27, Kris Michatek, '27, Owen Nearpass, '27, and coxswain Eric Guset, '27.

The podium worthy performance capped off a huge weekend for the McQuaid rowing program and its alumni. Former Crew Knight Liam Wise, '24 also earned a medal while competing for Mercyhurst University at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta, the largest collegiate regatta in the nation.

With Nationals now on the horizon, the Knights will look to continue building momentum as they prepare to represent McQuaid on one of rowing's biggest stages.
